The provider may be able to create an instance from a backup, but it won't have any updates after the backup date/time. Then you can export/import the epic. I don't believe you can give a new issue a key number when you create it from the csv file. Talk to your provider, As I said, don't delete issues or user. Bad things happen down the line.
Answer accepted. I found the solution and it was stupidly easy. Just right click on the epic - it displays a menu with Clear Start/End date. Unfortunately this isn't working form me. To clone an issue: Open an issue. Select ··· > Clone. Edit the Summary. Choose what to Include (if any). Select Clone. Keep in mind, the prefix Clone is automatically added to the Summary of a cloned issue. Your project admin can use Automation for Jira to remove the prefix in bulk.

So, I would check the board filter for the board you want to delete (go to Board Settings then General to see the filter). Then compare that filter to the board that you want to keep. Then simply update the filter for the board you are keeping to include any of the cards from the to be deleted board.

Answer accepted. I don't have permissions to bulk edit issues, but what I did to add multiple issues to an epic was to select multiple issues on the backlog view and simply drag them to the left epic pane on to the epic I wanted to assign. Worked like a charm! @Sama Mohamed When viewing the Backlog click to show the Epic Panel.
