Not having air conditioning in Florida can be a bit, well, sticky, especially during the summer months. The a/c in our E46-chassis BMW has been lukewarm at best. Sometimes it just seemed to stop blowing altogether. There is a data port in the area where the clutch pedal is, or would be if you had one, that you connect a scan tool. The scan tool will report various codes that define the reason for the light to be on.
